The „Camino de Costa Rica“ is a fascinating trail that crosses the country from sea to sea, representing the first long-distance hiking trail in Central America. This unique overland hike allows for a continental journey on foot and covers a total of officially designated routes of 280 km.

Our tour in March will be a combination of hikes on the Camino de Costa Rica and other highlights from coast to coast.
We start at the Caribbean Sea and eventually reach the Pacific Ocean.

Our journey will take us across more than 100 communities, reserves, national parks, indigenous communities and national routes. It’s not just about hiking, but about discovering the abundant biodiversity and cultures in this wonderful country.

We will gain insights into Costa Rica’s economy, its cuisine, and feel the heartiness of the locals while enjoying direct experiences with them.

Travel program:

Pick-up at the airport, all transfers
1 night in a hotel in San José, including dinner and breakfast
2 nights in a lodge in Tortuguero including excursions, all meals
2 nights in a hotel on the Caribbean coast in Puerto Viejo including breakfast, guided hike in Cahuita National Park
7 days hiking on the Camino de Costa Rica, stages 7-10 and 13-15, overnight stays in various accommodations from simple tents to lodges, including 3 meals, luggage transport, thermal baths in Orosi, river rafting
2 nights in a hotel on the Pacific coast in Jaco, including breakfast
Transfer to the airport in San José
